Harlem Wayfinding Community Engagement Survey
The 125th Street Business Improvement District has launched a wayfinding project to make it easier for residents and visitors to explore Harlem’s rich cultural assets, shop at local businesses, and participate in fun challenges.
We are reaching out to you to learn about your travels through the neighborhood and have developed a list of questions to gain a full understanding of your current and desired experiences navigating 125th Street and Harlem.
Elements of the program include:
- A unique, recognizable emblem (designed by an artist through a competitive process) coinciding with a QR code that leads users to the BID’s upcoming wayfinding resources. The emblem will be placed in strategic locations and with participating businesses and cultural institutions.
- A new wayfinding system designed to connect those who live, work, visit, and invest in Harlem to the neighborhood’s public art, cultural institutions, and local businesses.
- Gamified challenges with rewards to boost local foot traffic and promote a clean streets awareness campaign designed to cultivate the community’s love for Harlem.
